Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprentice / Entry-Level Technician

Position Overview

Excelko is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to build a rewarding career in the heavy equipment industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining valuable hands-on experience servicing agricultural and construction equipment while developing your technical skills through ongoing training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Perform routine maintenance and preventive service on equipment.

• Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.

• Prepare equipment for delivery and customer use.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Complete service documentation accurately and efficiently.

• Participate in manufacturer and in-house training programs.

• Follow all company safety policies and workshop procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma or vocational training in Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, or a related field.

• Strong interest in heavy equipment and mechanical systems.

• Willingness to learn and continuously develop technical skills.

• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

• A valid driver's license is considered an asset.
